Jane Newman DipFA MLIBF FPIR
Chief Executive Officer
Jane is the CEO of Jane Newman Financial Planning (JNFP) and has been qualified for 30 years in the financial services industry. Her career started as Mortgage Adviser, before broadening her skill set to offer fully regulated advice.
Jane works closely with her clients to provide bespoke advice on all aspects of their financial journey. She prides herself on being readily available to all her clients and helping them build the financial success they deserve. Jane can provide comprehensive advice on all areas of financial planning including pensions, investments and savings, mortgages, protection and estate and inheritance tax planning.
Consistently acknowledged amongst the Vouched For UK’s Top Rated Financial Advisers, Jane is also a well-respected and active contributor to the local Worcestershire business community.
When Jane can find some time to relax, she enjoys walking her two dogs, Paddy and Charlie and playing the odd game of tennis.
Emily Newman DipPFS & Certs CII MP & ER
Director
Emily joined Jane Newman Financial Planning in 2018 and has since built an enviable reputation within the industry. She has received the coveted Top Rated Financial Advisers status from VouchedFor for four consecutive years, a strong recognition from her clients and the industry for her attention to detail, professionalism and strong customer focus.
To expand her knowledge further, Emily is working towards obtaining Chartered status and intends to continue to further her career within the family business.
Emily provides comprehensive advice on all areas of financial planning including pensions and sustainable investments, investments and savings, estate and inheritance tax planning, financial protection, mortgages and equity release.
Away from the office, Emily became a Director of the Worcestershire Ambassadors in 2024 and alongside other board members, works hard to promote the local county. Emily enjoys spending time with her black labrador Dave, as well as spending her evenings on the netball court.
Dan Gray
Independent Financial Adviser
Dan joined Jane Newman Financial Planning back in December 2020 as a Business Administrator following a previous Financial Services position. Since joining JNFP, Dan has qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser through the completion of the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
In addition to obtaining the CII Diploma, Dan holds additional qualifications in other areas of Financial Services and has excelled within his studies. To further his knowledge within the Financial Services industry, Dan is continuing his studying as he works towards obtaining Chartered status.
Dan provides comprehensive advice on pension, investment, protection and estate planning.
Away from the office, Dan enjoys watching sports and spending time with his friends and family.
Ellis Turner, CeMAP
Mortgage and Protection Adviser
Ellis joined Jane Newman Financial Planning in 2022 as a Mortgage and Protection adviser following on from her previous role working for a high street bank.
Driven by providing the best possible service to her clients, Ellis prides herself on giving clients honest, professional, and fair advice.
Ellis supports clients with their mortgage and protection requirements, including home purchases, re-mortgages, buy-to-lets, right-to-buy and shared ownership schemes, self-builds, and protection. As part of her role, Ellis will liaise with lenders, estate agents and solicitors on behalf of clients and support them in completing all paperwork and applications.
A fellow foodie, when not in the office, you will find her socialising with friends and eating good food!
Katie Slatem
Trainee Paraplanner
Katie joined Jane Newman Financial Planning 2019 as a Business Administrator Apprentice and has worked exceptionally hard within her studies to take on the role of Trainee Paraplanner.
Katie has become a vital member of our team impressing both clients and other team members with her knowledge and attention to detail. Katie is vigilant in ensuring our client records are up to date and is always on hand to support our advisers.
Katie is developing her career in Financial Services by undertaking further studies to achieve Paraplanner status. We are delighted that Katie is continuing her training with us as this will enhance her skill set and personal development while providing the platform to successfully grow within the business.
When not at work you will find Katie enjoying good food or with her beloved animals.
Sarah Jacob
Personal Assistant
Sarah joined Jane Newman Financial Planning in May 2016 as Jane’s Personal Assistant. As the practice has grown, Sarah’s responsibilities have extended to ensuring that the office runs smoothly and that all levels of personal service are delivered.
Sarah is often the first point of contact for our clients, her calm and approachable manner puts them at ease and ensures that their enquiries are dealt with promptly.
As a key component within the business, Sarah is quite literally the glue that holds the office together, which is consistently demonstrated through her excellent organisational and people skills.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys socialising with family and friends.
Alfie Hughes
Financial Services Administrator
Alfie joined Jane Newman Financial Planning as a Financial Services Administrator Apprentice back in 2023. Having completed his Apprenticeship in Summer 2025, Alfie is enjoying his new role as Financial Services Administrator.
Having taken a keen interest in finance since high school, working in finance was a natural progression after he completed sixth form college. Alfie enjoys the hands-on approach of learning through an apprenticeship where he gets to understand all aspects of the business and how everything works.
Outside of work, you will find Alfie spending time with family and watching Swansea City with his Dad.
Dawn Lewis
Financial Services Administrator
Dawn joined the team in 2017 and is an integral part of the administration team.
Working closely with the advisers, Dawn plays a key part in our ongoing review process and her methodical approach helps our advisers to ensure clients stay on track toward their financial goals.
Alongside her role at Jane Newman Financial Planning, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young grandsons, not forgetting her Sproodle Oakley.
Sarah Parker
Financial Services Administrator
Sarah joined Jane Newman Financial Planning in 2023 as a Financial Services Administrator.
Sarah works in partnership with Dawn to assist with our ongoing review process and her attention to detail is beyond exquisite. Sarah assists our advisers in review preparation and works exceptionally hard within her role.
Since joining JNFP, Sarah has become a huge asset to our team. Her warmth and kindness to other team members make her a joy to be around.
With a young family at home, if not in the office you will find Sarah spending time with her husband and two children.
Daniel Nante
Financial Services Administrator Apprentice
Dan joined Jane Newman Financial Planning in July 2025 as a Financial Services Administrator Apprentice. Having had an interest in finance from a young age, he chose the apprenticeship route to build practical skills alongside learning.
Dan particularly enjoys learning new skills and gaining experience in financial services while supporting clients and the wider team.
Outside of work, Dan spends time with his family and friends and is an avid supporter of Birmingham City FC.
Jo Morgan
Marketing Manager
Jo is an experienced Marketing Manager and has worked within the services sector for more than 25 years, beginning her career with a medical and safety services business. Jo joined Jane Newman Financial Planning in 2022 to support the firm with all aspects of strategic marketing activity.
Working alongside Jane and the wider team, Jo is responsible for maintaining and developing the brand through a wide range of marketing tactics. Jo enjoys the variety of work at JNFP and working with other local businesses when implementing the marketing plan.
Away from the office, Jo enjoys keeping fit, eating good food and walking her incredibly mischievous cockerpoo, Winnie.
